about

Originally recorded in 1992 as part of the trilogy Dreamtime-Zindzi-Wir War,now re mastered and re edited into two albums,Cyclone and Once upon a Dreamtime. Composer Michael Cuming and drummer Marcel van Arnhem embarked on a live performance series which pioneered the use of the Didgeridoo in combination with Western and Ethnic instrumentation. Another unique aspect to the concept was that Michael Cuming played up to 4 instruments simultaneously within the performance, hence the BIG sound for a two piece. The concert was seamless going from one track into the other where Michael Cuming navigated his way through playing instruments from around the globe whilst Marcel van Arnhem continuously accompanied Michael with his strong, innovative Jazz and percussive style on drum kit and small percussion.
